Fire Training with Steven Brown & Associates: Join Us!
January 10, 2019Steven Brown & Associates is hosting our 4th annual “Lunch & Learn” protection fire training session! Located at Crowne Plaza Wilmington North in Claymont, DE, join us from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Wednesday, February 6th for diesel-driven engine training.
Our featured guest speaker this year is Mike Mathes, Marketing Manager for Clarke Fire Protection. His knowledge is invaluable to our industry, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to learn and grow in our abilities with him.
Based in Cincinnati, OH, Mike’s responsibilities for Clarke Fire Protection include providing sales support to folks like us; all North American Fire Pump Manufacturer dealers, reps, and packagers work with Mike to help support the sale of Clarke diesel drivers.
Mike is also responsible for global product forecasting, pricing, market research, and brand development. What does all that mean? Simply put, Mike’s job is to stay ahead of the curve in product development and the future of the Clarke brand as a whole.
Overview of the Day
We’ll begin our day at 9:00 AM with an introduction by Steven Brown, followed by a 30-minute seminar outlining jockey pumps and how they work. After a brief Q & A, the floor will go to Mike Mathes for the remainder of the training day.
Beginning at 9:30, Mike will explain the changes and updates coming to products supplied by Clarke Engines, and he will review the installation & operation guidelines as per the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association). A brief seminar outlining Pressure Limiting Devices (PLDs) will be presented before breaking at 12:30 for lunch.
Mike returns at 1:00 with seminars describing required maintenance for your equipment, start-up & alarm verification procedures, engine troubleshooting, and emission requirements for your current machinery. A full Q & A session covering the whole seminar will progress, and the fire training is slated to release at 3:30 PM.
Remember, space is limited, so this Lunch & Learn will operate on a first come, first serve basis! If you have any questions or want to be a part of this event, feel free to reach out to Nicole McDermott at [email protected] or give her a call at 302-652-4722 Ext. 103. We are looking forward to have Mike’s expertise for this training session, and we hope you’re excited, too!
